My New and Hopefully Final Online Resting Place

I've been a writer / blogger for many years now, but never really found a place to consolidate all my thoughts and feelings. This is going to be it. This is going to be a blog that rolls with me and my many factions and moods. It's going to also be a place where I speak my mind, share my passions, and just let it all out there. Besides being a writer I'm also what I call a misunderstood prophet. Ordained a Christian minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, I'm no longer there. Yes, I'm still ordained, but my life has grown and changed over the years. My idea of ministry has changed with that. As you can see, this isn't going to the the "normal" Christian blog. There are too many facets to me today. I'm someone who's wrestling with my blessings, finding my path in this world and in need of a creative outlet along the way. This is it and I welcome you to it!

Life's struggles do produce roses!

There's no doubt in my mind, the struggles of this life are real. However, among those proverbial "thorns" there's always a rose. Sometimes we don't stop long enough to smell its fragrance so we don't realize it's there. That's something I've definitely learned throughout this week. Sunday night I went to bed having felt betrayed by my rat as he'd gotten nippy with me. Monday morning I woke up to find him cold and sick. After holding him for a bit, I placed him back into his cage only to have to bury him later that day. I was angry. I was hurt. I spent the day wondering why I couldn't have anything in this life that I really wanted. Today I meet my new skinny pig, something I've wanted for years now but could never have. I'll be adopting "Lyle" from someone who rescued him after he was beaten within an inch of his life. He's healthy and spoiled now and I can't wait to meet him. To me this shows God is sti

New Monday... New Week... New Goals... New Help From God...

I've been up since 7 something this morning again. I don't know why I keep waking up so early but it does help me get more done throughout the day. I just wish that I'd go to bed earlier so I can get the sleep I need. Nonetheless, I got a routine down for the morning and night anymore. I get my "chores" like laundry and dishes done, prayer, journaling, Bible, and even play my favorite game a bit before getting into the heart of my day until about 12:30 then come back and finish up some stuff online around 8 and done by 10 usually. So, why can't I sleep earlier? I guess that's something I need to work on. I honestly can't believe that I only have 3 days until vacation! Yes, I've been counting for over a month now simply to keep my sanity. I know so many people would go crazy doing this but it's honestly the only thing helping me keep my sanity. Now when I get back I'll have to start another countdown for 41 days until I get my sanity b
